Dear CCMS Friends,
Let me extend my personal welcome to this 60th anniversary season of the Cleveland Chamber Music Society. One glance at the program tells you we have not allowed the current economic climate to modify the exciting roster of performers.
Like all arts organizations, however, CCMS has been affected by the economy. Last January, our Young Musicians Showcase attracted the largest audience in its brief history. We have reluctantly deferred it, at least for this year.
Nonetheless, in collaboration with the Cleveland Institute of Music we will continue the remarkably successful Outreach Program to local 3rd and 4th graders, sending a student string quartet to area elementary schools. Highly popular Master Classes, conducted at northeast Ohio conservatories by our visiting artists, also continue.
A full series subscription is clearly the most cost-effective means of guaranteeing you will not miss any of these extraordinary concerts, but we also offer the choose-four (ANY 4) option. Subscribe early and often! And, of course, single tickets are available. For students, we still offer the incredible bargain rate of $5.00 for any of our concerts.
